Does anyone have an old recipe from Betty Crocker Cookbook for oatmeal cookies that had nails in it?
Has anyone recipe for oatmeal cookies Thirteenth printing Cookbook Betty Crocker from 1972? It is on page 137. If yes, could you share with me? It is different from that in the book current and is the only page in my book very old:) Thanks
3 / 4 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar (packed) 1 / 2 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 1 / 4 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup Gold Medal flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon coffee cinnamon 1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 / 2 teaspoon cloves 1 cup raisins 1 cup chopped walnuts 3 cups quick cooking oats Preheat oven to 350. Thouroughly combine butter, sugar, egg, water and vanilla. Add remaining ingredients. Drop rounded dough by teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until that almost no imprint remains when touched with finger. immediately remove from baking sheet. Store in an airtight container. * Variation: Banana Cookies Oatmeal: Omit water, increased soda to 1 teaspoon and mix 1 cup mashed banana (2-3 medium-sized enterprises) in the shortening mixture.
